Export & Reports

Download your portfolio data for backup, tax prep, or spreadsheet analysis — and know where export controls live across the platform today.

Export vs. import

Exports are a one-way download of data already in Dividend Wealth. To bring data in, use CSV import during portfolio creation or the Add Transaction modal. See Importing Holdings for the import format and column requirements.

Portfolio Transaction Export (CSV)

How to export

Open any portfolio, click the menu in the header, and choose Export CSV. The file downloads immediately with every transaction in that portfolio. If there are no transactions, you'll see an error toast instead of an empty file.

CSV columns

The export uses a standard header row compatible with re-import:

Symbol, Type, Date, Shares, Price, Fee
  • Symbol — ticker in uppercase
  • Type — buy, sell, dividend, etc.
  • Date — transaction date
  • Shares — quantity
  • Price — per-share price
  • Fee — commission or fee if recorded

Common uses

  • Backup your transaction history before major edits
  • Edit in Excel or Google Sheets, then re-import via the Create Portfolio wizard
  • Share a sanitized copy with your accountant or advisor
  • Migrate holdings between manual portfolios on the same account

Stock Screener Export

The Dividend Stock Screener header includes Save Screen and Export buttons for saving your filter combination and downloading filtered results. These controls are visible in the UI today; if they are not yet active in your environment, note your current filters and revisit after platform updates.

See Using the Screener for filter details and limitations.

Curated Lists & Reports

Stock lists

Curated dividend lists at /lists (e.g., Dividend Aristocrats, high-yield screens) include an Export CSV button in the page header for downloading the visible table data.

Quarterly rebalance reports

Public strategy and rebalance reports (e.g. Q3 2026 Rebalance) are read-only research content. Some strategy detail pages include PDF export for offline reading — these export model portfolios, not your personal holdings.

What Is Not Exported Today

  • Watchlist contents — manage and view these at /watchlists
  • Portfolio analytics charts as image files — use browser print/screenshot if needed
  • Forecasted dividend schedules as a standalone CSV — view on the Income and Calendar tabs
  • A public REST API for programmatic export — planned; see API Access

Common Questions

Can I export a linked (Plaid) portfolio?

Yes. Export CSV works the same for manual and brokerage-linked portfolios — it downloads the transactions stored in Dividend Wealth, regardless of how they arrived.

Will re-importing my export overwrite data?

Import adds rows to a portfolio during the Create Portfolio wizard or bulk upload flows. It does not automatically replace existing transactions — review duplicates before importing into a portfolio that already has history.
