Contest Entry Terms & Conditions
These Contest Entry Terms & Conditions (the “Entry Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Dividend Wealth LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) that applies when you enter The Balanced Builder Challenge or any Dividend Wealth portfolio contest (the “Contest”). They supplement — and do not replace — the Dividend Wealth Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and the Contest Official Rules. If there is a conflict about how the Contest is run, the Official Rules control. These Entry Terms were last updated on October 5, 2026.
1. Acceptance & Eligibility
By submitting an entry, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, are a legal U.S. resident, have read and agree to these Entry Terms and the Official Rules, and have the right to enter. If you do not agree, do not enter.
2. Your Entry
Your entry consists of a hypothetical (“paper”) $100,000 portfolio of U.S.-listed stocks (ticker symbols and weights or dollar allocations), a written thesis, and any optional per-holding notes. You agree that:
- your entry is your own original work and does not copy another person's work or infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
- you will enter tickers and weights only, and will never submit brokerage account numbers, screenshots, statements, login credentials, or other sensitive financial data;
- your entry is a hypothetical model, not a record of real trades, and the version on record when entries close is the one judged; and
- if you used AI tools to help research or draft your entry, the entry is still your own and you can stand behind its reasoning.
3. License to Display and Keep Your Entry
You keep ownership of your entry. You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, publish, display, and archive your entry — including your portfolio, thesis, and account handle — on Dividend Wealth and in our contest and community sections. You acknowledge and agree that we may keep your entry published in a Contest archive or Community section, identified by your handle, even after the Contest ends, and that removing your account or entry may not remove copies already shared or reproduced by others.
4. Publicity Release
To the extent permitted by law, you grant us and our contest host (Dividendology) the right to use your account handle, your entry, and — if you are a winner or a featured entrant — your statements and likeness, in any media worldwide, for administering, describing, and promoting the Contest, including in written posts and video breakdowns, without further notice, approval, or compensation. Featured entries are discussed publicly as educational case studies, by handle.
5. Community Conduct
The Contest includes community features (profiles, comments, hearts, and follows). To keep them safe and lawful, you agree that you will not:
- solicit, offer, or provide individualized or personalized investment advice to any other user, or ask others what you personally should buy, sell, or hold;
- tout, pump, or coordinate promotion of any security, or post about a security you hold without disclosing that position when it is relevant;
- offer to sell signals, “copy-my-trades” access, or paid follows, or otherwise act as an unregistered adviser on the platform;
- use bots, scripts, or multiple/fake accounts, or manipulate hearts, follows, or comments;
- post anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory, harassing, or that guarantees profits or “risk-free” returns; or
- present any part of the Contest as pooled money, a fund, or a managed account.
We may moderate, remove, or restrict content and accounts, and disqualify entries, for any violation, in our sole discretion.
6. No Investment Advice; Your Responsibility
The Contest is educational. Nothing you submit or read in the Contest — including entries, theses, comments, judge commentary, or featured content — is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, and none of it is tailored to anyone's personal circumstances. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions and should consult your own licensed professional. You participate at your own risk.
7. Judging Is Final; No Obligation to Award
Entries are reviewed against the published contest criteria and the winner is selected by the Sponsor (Dividend Wealth LLC); portfolio returns are not a factor. You agree that all judging and eligibility decisions are final and binding, and that we may disqualify any entry or decline to award a prize if no entry qualifies or if the integrity of the Contest is compromised.
8. Prize & Taxes
If you win, you are responsible for all taxes on the prize and for reporting it as required by law. You may be required to complete a Form W-9 and to verify eligibility before payment. See the Official Rules for prize details.
9. Privacy
We collect only what we need to run the Contest — your account identity/handle, your paper portfolio, and your thesis — and we do not collect your personal financial circumstances or brokerage credentials. Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy, including how you can request deletion. Deleting your entry may remove it from the Contest and may make you ineligible to win.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Contest and all content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our host are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any investment losses, arising from the Contest or your reliance on any Contest content. You agree to indemnify and hold us and our host harmless from claims arising out of your entry, your conduct, or your breach of these Entry Terms.
11. Changes & Governing Law
We may update these Entry Terms; material changes will be posted on the Contest pages. These Entry Terms are governed by the same law and dispute-resolution terms as the Dividend Wealth Terms of Service.

Draft for review. These Entry Terms are a strong starting point but should be reviewed by qualified counsel before the Contest launches, together with the Official Rules and community guidelines.
