Deleting a Portfolio
Remove a portfolio from your dashboard. Manual books use Delete. Linked brokerage books use Unlink Brokerage — there is no Delete button while a live connection is active.
Which action do I use?
- Manual portfolio (you typed or imported holdings) — use Delete.
- Linked portfolio (Plaid or SnapTrade badge / sync) — use Unlink Brokerage. That removes it from your list. Other accounts at the same broker stay connected.
Delete a manual portfolio
Go to Portfolios
Open Portfolios and switch to the All Portfolios tab, or click into the book you want to remove.
Open the ⋯ menu
Click the three-dot menu on the portfolio card, or in the top-right of the portfolio page.
Click Delete
Choose Delete. Confirm in the dialog. The portfolio leaves your list immediately.
Remove a linked brokerage portfolio
Linked portfolios do not show Delete. That is expected — the live broker connection has to be disconnected first.
- Open Portfolios → All Portfolios, or open the linked book.
- Click the ⋯ menu on the card or the portfolio page.
- Choose Unlink Brokerage and confirm. That portfolio disappears from Home and Portfolios. Other linked accounts at the same institution stay put. Delete stays disabled on linked books until the connection is removed.
Want to keep the holdings and stop syncing? Choose Convert to manual & disconnect instead. The book stays visible as a normal portfolio. You can Delete it later from the same ⋯ menu.
More detail: Brokerage Linking.
What happens after you remove it
Hidden, not permanently erased
Delete and Unlink hide the portfolio. We can restore it on request for about 30 days. After that, treat it as gone.
Groups stay intact
Deleting a portfolio group only removes the group. The portfolios inside it are not deleted.
