Setting Alerts
Portfolio alerts help you catch upcoming payouts, risk signals, and milestone moments without checking the dashboard every day.
In-app alerts today, email delivery coming
Active alerts appear on each portfolio's Alerts tab as conditions are met. Email and push notification preferences under Account settings are rolling out soon — configure alert types now so you're ready when delivery goes live.
Step-by-Step
1. Open the Alerts tab
Navigate to any portfolio and select the Alerts tab from the tab bar (Overview, Holdings, Income, Calendar, etc.). This is your alert hub for that portfolio.
2. Review Active Alerts
The top section lists Active Alerts — live signals generated from your holdings. Examples include dividend events approaching in the next 14 days, forward yields above the risk threshold, and large unrealized drawdowns. Each card shows the ticker, severity, and a plain-language description.
3. Configure Alert Settings
Scroll to Alert Settings below the active list. Each alert type has its own card with a description and an on/off toggle. Turn off types you don't care about and leave on the ones that matter for your strategy.
4. Enable ex-dividend and payout alerts
Keep Ex-Dividend Dates enabled if you buy around ex-dates or track eligibility closely. Pair this with the Tracking Dividends guide to see the full payout calendar alongside these alerts.
5. Watch for risk signals
Yield Spike and Price Drop alerts flag holdings that may need a closer look — an unusually high yield often precedes a cut, and a deep drawdown may signal a thesis change. Cross-reference with each stock's Resilience Score before making decisions.
6. Check Account notification preferences
Go to Account → Notification Preferences to set how you want to receive alerts once email and push delivery launch — dividend alerts, weekly portfolio summaries, and product updates. These controls complement the per-portfolio toggles on the Alerts tab.
Alert Types
Ex-Dividend Dates
Surfaces when a payout date is approaching in the next two weeks so you don't miss eligibility.

Flags holdings down more than 10% versus cost basis — a large unrealized drawdown.
Yield Spike

Dividend Change
Notifies when a company increases or cuts its dividend (toggle available; delivery expanding).
Goal Milestone
Celebrate when you hit income or portfolio value milestones on your goal track.
Rating Change
Alert when a holding's resilience grade changes — early warning on dividend durability shifts.
