How it works
Five steps from sign-up to spotlight. It should take a few minutes, not an afternoon.
Sign up free
Create a free Dividend Wealth account. No purchase, ever — free to enter and free to win.
Build a $100,000 paper portfolio
Pick stocks and watch your yield, sector mix and dividend growth update as you build. The one rule: a blended yield of 3% or more across the portfolio. Paper only, priced at the previous close, and you can edit any time until entries close.
Write your thesis
One short paragraph on why these are quality picks and how the book balances income and growth. Optionally add a one-line 'why' on each holding, which helps Dividend Wealth follow your reasoning.
Publish & get judged
Your entry goes live on the Community wall by handle, ready to share. After entries close, Dividend Wealth shortlists entries on the published criteria, reads every shortlisted thesis and picks the winner. Returns don't count.
Top 3 get the spotlight
The top three portfolios get broken down on video by Dividendology as educational case studies — and the Winner takes the $1,000.
The judging criteria
The first four are measured from each company's financials to build a shortlist. Dividend Wealth then reads every shortlisted thesis and picks the winner. Points show each area's weight, published up front so everyone builds to the same target.
Business Quality
Are these genuinely high-quality companies? Durable competitive advantages, strong balance sheets, consistent profitability, and a dependable dividend track record — not just the highest headline yields.
Dividend Safety & Growth
The dividend itself: payout ratios and earnings/FFO coverage, the track record of raises, and the runway to keep growing it. Yield traps and shaky payouts are penalized.
Valuation & Future Earnings
Are the picks bought at sensible valuations with a credible path for earnings and dividends to compound? Margin of safety over overpaying — for either yield or hype.
Portfolio Construction & Balance
Diversification, position sizing, and a real balance of income today versus growth for tomorrow. A portfolio, not a watchlist.
Thesis & Reasoning
The written case: clarity, originality, and whether the analysis actually supports the picks.
